Summit JV is closing out their home schedule against Glenwood Springs on April 30th in a 1-0 victory, though the match had a very different feel from the dominant performances earlier in the season.
With the end of the season in sight, Summit looked sluggish in the first half, lacking the aggression and intensity that defined their earlier home form. The Tigers took an early lead but struggled to build on it, content to sit back rather than push for more.
The second half told a different story. Summit pressed higher and stayed in the attacking third for much of the half, looking noticeably more switched on and purposeful. The single goal proved enough to see out the match.
Oh, and they did it all in the snow.
Summit won 1-0 in their lowest scoring home match of the season. Sometimes a win is just a win.
