The visiting goalkeeper was a bright spot for Eagle Valley, staying alert and pulling off several impressive saves to keep the score from climbing even higher in the first half.
Both teams displayed moments of quality footwork throughout, but Summit’s was more consistent and more clinical.
Trailing 2-0 at the half, Eagle Valley came out with some decent defending to start the second period, but it wasn’t enough. Summit added three more goals to close out a commanding 5-0 clean sheet victory.
Eagle Valley battled throughout, and there are pieces to build on, but possession and defensive shape will need some attention before their next outing.
